The process from initial consultation and design through final clean up is straightforward and the end result is a beautiful pondless stream and/or waterfall. Once the initial consultation has taken place and the design is approved, the creation of your new pondless waterfall begins.

• The site is laid out and the materials are assembled
• A hole between four and five feet deep is created, the actual dimensions to be determined by the overall size of the water feature
• The entire hole is wrapped in heavy duty plastic
• 4” slotted, industrial strength drain tile is placed to ensure proper irrigation
• A heavy duty pump is installed at the base of the hole and covered
• River stone is placed in the hole
• Water is added to the hole
• Additional hardscape and softscape design elements are added as required and as stipulated in the original design

When completed, a pondless waterfall will offer all the beauty and natural sound of a full-feature waterfall and pond…without the upkeep.

The pondless waterfall will not have the algae issues a waterfall with a standing pond may have. The pondless waterfall is easy to maintain year round, even in autumn and winter.

The heavy duty water pump only needs maintenance once a year; and then, only to have the filter cleaned. There is no pond to drain, only a small amount of water in the holding area. Once the stone is moved, the filter can be changed quickly and easily. The pump is quite safe in the ground year round, even in the winter.
